Bushido: The way of the warrior, was the code of chivalry for the Samurai Class of Japan. However, unlike the European concept of chivalry, the code of Bushido was rarely spoken of or written, it was instead a product of the warriors life fused with Confucian doctrine. Bushido focused on honor, loyalty, frugality, benevolence, and duty. The code was uniform across all of Japan and remained intact and almost unchanged until the end of the 19th century. Through the codes focus on a good death, the Bushi could find a way of life.
